The tragic shooting at the Naval shipyard in DC should never have happened. This was a gross case of incompetence on the part of the Navy. There are many questions to be answered here. For example, how did this man get a clearance with the background that he had? Did they even do a background check if so , the person conducting it should be held accountable for negligence. One police department had even warned the Navy that this man was not normal and needed psychiatric help. Why was this overlooked? What happened to that report, who was supposed to look into it?
Now 12 dedicated people working for the U.S. Navy are dead . They paid the ultimate price for some body's incompetence . Let's not let them sweep this under the rug if we do how many good people could be killed in the next maniacs attacked?
